Set up an email address in the Gmail app on Android

You can easily add your MostHosted business email address to the Gmail app on your Android phone or tablet. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open the Gmail app

• Open the Gmail app on your Android device.
• Tap your profile picture at the top right and choose Add account.
• Choose Other as the account type.

Step 2: Enter your email address

• Enter your full email address, for example jouwnaam@jouwdomein.nl.
• Tap Next.

Step 3: Choose the account type

• Choose IMAP as the account type. This is recommended.

Step 4: Incoming server settings

• Username: your full email address
• Password: your email password
• Server: mail.mosthosted.com
• Port: 993
• Security type: SSL/TLS

Step 5: Outgoing server settings (SMTP)

• SMTP server: mail.mosthosted.com
• Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
• Security type: SSL/TLS or STARTTLS
• Authentication required: Yes
• Username: your full email address
• Password: your email password

Step 6: Account settings

• Choose how often email should be synchronised.
• Set whether you want to receive notifications for new messages.
• Tap Next.

Step 7: Set your name

• Enter the name that should be displayed on sent email.
• Tap Done.

Your account has now been added successfully and you can send and receive email using the Gmail app.
