Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and/or service is not intended to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities.
If you believe that we have collected personal data about a minor without permission, please contact us at info@mosthosted.com. We will then delete this information.
The purposes and legal grounds for processing personal data
MostHosted processes your personal data to handle payments, send newsletters and/or advertising, call or email you when this is necessary for our services, inform you about changes to services and products, provide an account and deliver goods or services to you.
Depending on the purpose, we process personal data on the basis of performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, a legitimate interest or your consent.
Automated decision-making
MostHosted does not make decisions based solely on automated processing where those decisions may have significant consequences for individuals. This concerns decisions made by computer programs or systems without meaningful human intervention.
How long we retain personal data
MostHosted does not retain your personal data for longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. Data associated with a customer relationship is generally retained while the relevant services are active and afterwards insofar as required by statutory retention periods or for handling potential disputes.
Sharing personal data with third parties
MostHosted provides personal data to third parties only when this is necessary to perform our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.
Where necessary, we enter into a data-processing agreement with parties that process personal data on our behalf, to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality. MostHosted remains responsible for these processing activities.
Accessing, correcting or deleting data
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw consent to data processing, object to processing and request data portability.
You can send a request to info@mosthosted.com. To ensure that the request was made by you, we may ask you to confirm your identity in an appropriate manner. We will respond as quickly as possible and no later than four weeks after your request.
You also have the option of submitting a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
How we protect personal data
MostHosted takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration.
If you believe your data is not properly secured or there are signs of misuse, please contact info@mosthosted.com or support@mosthosted.com.
